Legal Matters.

Hon. A. C. Downey, of Rising Sun, arrived in town last Monday night, and Tuesday morning was ready to start Switzerland county legal mill. The attorneys consumed Tuesday greasing the machinery with their eloquent words, big books and spoiled legal cap.

Yesterday morning the machinery was in good order and was set going, working as smoothly and rapidly as our big cylinder press. Here is the result:

Charlotte Works vs. Addison Works. Defendant granted change of venue—case sent to Ohio Co. A similar disposition as made of the case of Alvin J. Works vs. Addison Works.

Marvin Wells vs. Joseph Schweda. For Specific Performance. Proceedings suspended until Wells pay costs in a former case.

Jesse J. Boright vs. Thomas J. Turpin and wife. For possession of real estate. The case is now on trial before the Court.

Yesterday morning the jury was dismissed.
