Among other business transacted by the County Commissioners at their session last week was the following:
In the matter of the petition of C. W. Bruner—For survey and record of highway in Cotton Township. Granted.
Petition of Geo. H. Heady and others, for change of highway in Pleasant Township. Viewers reported. Report set aside and new viewers appointed as follows: Alnozo Morison, W. J. Gibbs and Enoch Richards.
Patriot and Barkworks Turnpike Co. were permitted to assess lands heretofore omitted. Allen Markland, Samuel Henry and Andrew J. Given were appointed to assess the benefits. They will meet in Patriot on the 15th inst.
The following persons were appointed to act as Constables, to serve one year from the first of November next: Wm. C. Froman, Jefferson Township; Michael Orem, Craig; Thomas J. McKay, Pleasant.
