Vevay Reveille – 21 Feb 1889 – Page 4, Column 1
The County Commissioners met last Tuesday in special session for the purpose of determining as to whether James P., aged 12, and Ben. F., aged 6, sons of William P. Eads, deceased, were proper persons to send to the State Asylum for Feeble Minded Children. After hearing the opinions of Drs. Holland and VanPelt, the Commissioners decided that the children were proper subjects for the Asylum, and they will be removed from the Soldiers’ Orphans Home, at Knightstown, (where they are now temporarily but which institution refuses to keep them permanently) to the asylum at Richmond.
