Report of School Officers—Roads and Bridges.
The County Commissioners met last Monday for the purpose of receiving reports of school officers, (Township Trustees and Treasurers of Vevay and Patriot Boards of School Trustees).

In the matter of the petition of a bridge in Pleasant Township, near Noah Ritenour’s, over Indian Creek—the viewers, James Culberson, Perry K. Cotton, and Jefferson Smith, reported the proposed bridge as not of public utility. The report was approved and the viewers discharged.
In the matter of repairing the bridge over Wade’s Hill, in Posey Township—James Morrison, Abner Gates and B. J. Wiley, viewers, reported the bridge of public utility, in bad condition, and recommended that it repaired. Estimated cost, $200.00. Report approved and viewers discharged.
Thomas Gordon was awarded the contract to repair the flooring on Hunt’s Creek bridge, for $100.
James Curry was awarded the contract to take care of paupers at Poor Farm, at $70.00 each pauper. To furnish food, clothing and tobacco.
M. G. Keeney was appointed to make a survey, plans, and specifications for foundation, abutments, and superstructure for a wooden bridge to be built at Wade’s Run, in Posey.
Several bills were allowed.
The Commissioners adjourned last Tuesday evening.
