Court.

Judge Allison arrived Monday night and opened Court. He tried to get here sooner, but owing to low water the boats are necessarily irregular, and he took the first boat coming up.

The Grand Jury convened on Tuesday.

The Petit Jury will meet next Tuesday.

Hon. C. A. Walker, of Madison, was in court Tuesday, returning home yesterday morning.

Hon. S. H. Stewart and Maj. J. S. Jelly, of Rising Sun, appeared in court yesterday. Hon. A. C. Downey also arrived this morning.

John T. Ellis, from Knox county, Mo., who has located in Vevay, is attending court. A very pleasant young gentleman, a lawyer, of ability, he is making a favorable impression and adding new friends.

The Higham-Harris case, a civil suit to decide who should pay for some real estate growing out of Longsworth—Krutz transactions, has been set for Monday, October 8th.

Eugene Hay, Prosecuting Attorney, arrived last night.

Court is in good working order, and business is being disposed of rapidly.
