Special Term of Court.
Last Monday Hon. A. C. Downey commenced a special term of Court in Vevay. The case of Merrit vs. Bodkin was the first case. After about half a day had been consumed in the trial the defense was abandoned and the Judge instructed the Jury to render a verdict for the plaintiff.
The case of Mrs. Sarah Schnoover vs. John Lester, Administrator, was concluded yesterday, and the Judge now has it under advisement.
Having business in Indianapolis, yesterday Judge Downey adjourned Court until next Tuesday, when the cases of Jesse J. Bright vs. Thomas Turpin, and Robert A. Knox vs. Daniel Trafalet, will come up for disposal.
