RISING SUN. Is the county seat of Ohio county, located on the Ohio river, 38 miles below Cincinnati, and 92 southeast of Indianapolis. This is an incorporated town of 2,000 inhabitants, supplied with 6 churches, a graded school, 3 hotels, a national bank, and 2 weekly newspapers—Recorder and Local. The town carries a bonded debt of $6,000, and enjoys a good local trade from the surrounding fertile farming district. The industries of manufacture include 2 flour mills, saw mill, plow works and 1 tannery. Stage daily to Aurora; fare, 50 cents; and Patriot; fare, 50 cents. Exp., Adams and B. & O. John W.
