LAWRENCEBURGH. The county seat of Dearborn county, is a thrifty manufacturing city of 5,500 inhabitants, located on the Ohio river, O. & M. and C., C., C. & St. L Rys, 21 miles from Cincinnati and 80 from Indianapolis. Lawrenceburgh is a well-built city, supplied with gas works, 8 churches, 3 graded schools, 1 bank, good hotels and 2 weekly newspapers—Register and Press. It has a bonded debt of $35,000. This is a very important manufacturing center. Prominent among its mills, factories, etc., are 3 flour mills, 1 carriage factory, a planning mill, 4 large distilleries, 1 saw mill, 3 cooper shops, 3 furniture factories, a stove foundry, steam pump factory, brewery, hub and spoke factory, 2 brick yards and coffin works. It has excellent transportation facilities, an eligible location, and is surrounded by a fertile agricultural district. Exp., Am., Adams and B. & O. Tel., W. U. Money order office. Wm.
