LAWRENCEBURGH. The county seat of Dearborn county, is a thrifty manufacturing city of 5,500 inhabitants located on the Ohio river, O. & M. and C. I., St. L. & C. Rys., 25 miles from Cincinnati and 89 from Indianapolis. Lawrenceburgh is a well-built city, supplied with gas works, 8 churches, 3 graded schools, 1 bank, 7 hotels and 2 weekly newspapers—Register and Press. This is a very important manufacturing center. Prominent among its mills, factories, etc., are 2 flour mills, 1 carriage factory, a planning mill, 4 large distilleries, 1 saw mill, 3 cooper shops, 3 furniture factories, a stove foundry, brewery, hub and spoke factory, 2 brick yards and coffin works.
