The public schools of this city will open on Monday, September 13th. The following teachers have been elected by the school board:
- Superintendent—Edward Clark, of Lebanon, Ohio.
- German Department—Room No. 1—J. J. Kring.
- Primary Department—Room No. 1—Miss Mary Wilcox.
- Secondary Department—Room No. 2, male scholars—Miss A. Suiter; Female scholars—Miss L. E. Haines.
- Intermediate—Room No. 3, male scholars—Mrs. Isabella Murphy; Female scholars—Miss Clara Folbre.
- Grammar school—Room No. 4, male scholars—Miss A. H. Gould; Female scholars—Miss D. Hanna.
- High school—Room No. 5, male scholars—Miss L. S. Strattoc; Female scholars, Miss E. S. Corey.
- Janitor—Henry Davis.
