Cotton Township Republican Convention.
Allensville, Ind., March 7.
According to notice the Union voters of Cotton Township met at Allensville for the purpose of selecting candidates to fill the various Township offices to be elected at the April election.
The Convention was organized by the election of Horrace Ayers Chairman, and Summerfield Gray Secretary. They proceeded to the nomination of Justice of the Peace. W. B. Douglas was put in nomination, and there being no opposition was nominated by acclamation.
For Trustee: A. J. Works, J. W Picket, H. Ayers and George McCullock’s names were put in nomination. A vote being taken resulted in the nomination of A. J. Works. On motion his nomination was made unanimous.
George Dickson, Benjamin Picket, and Robert Fox, were nominated for Constables.
The following nominations were made for Road Supervisors:

The Convention then adjourned.
